Manisha Koirala to celebrate five-years of cancer-free life

When Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2012, there were many who came out to support her and shower her with good wishes. After undergoing many treatments in the USA, all their prayers were answered when she was finally cleared of the disease. Five years on, the actress expresses how she feels.

“I will soon complete 5 years of cancer-free life, which I will be celebrating,” Times of India reports Koirala stating. “God has been kind to me. I had great doctors, teachers and family support, so a combination of everything worked well.”

Going on to talk about how she has been able to stay focused and healthy, the actress went on to reveal that Yoga has become a great part of her life, in helping her in more ways than one. “It’s extremely important to give your 100 per cent, be it studies, work or any profession and to achieve that solidity we need to do yoga,” she explained,

Talking of work, Koirala will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, where she will be reviving the role of his mother and veteran actress Nargis. Speaking about the project, Koirala expressed, “The whole film is between a father and son, I have a small role and I hope I do justice to that.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is yet to be titled.
