Manish Tiwari scoops Media Entrepreneur of the Year award at IEBF summit

Manish Tiwari, the founder and Managing Director of UK-based ethnic media agency Here and Now 365 has been awarded ‘Media Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Indo-European Business Forum (IEBF) summit.

The annual event took place on Tuesday 19th November at the House of Lords in London and hosted by Baroness Verma of Leicester.

The event was attended by many stalwarts such as prominent retired Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev, GP Hinduja, a major investor in India through the Hinduja Group and well-known Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty.

After being awarded ‘Media Entrepreneur of the Year’, Mr. Tiwari added, “A lot of work I do I have a lot of pride in because I represent media in minority and culturally undermined parts of society. We have to stand up for smaller media because if we don’t, we will create a unipolar world.”

The list of achievers who were also felicitated at the event include Suniel Shetty, Bollywood action icon who was awarded for Excellence for his Contribution to Indian Art and Culture. Other winners from various categories were Ritu Prakash Chhabria for Contribution to Social Sector Reforms for her work in the field of medicine and education and Contribution to Profit for Purpose to accounting software firm Accloud.

The event also marked the launch of a report entitled ‘India: A 5 Trillion Dollar Economy by 2024-25’, compiled by IEBF India lead Sunil Gupta. The unveiling was also graced by Lord Loomba and Lord Dholakia.

IEBF is an independent and impartial body actively promoting two-way flows of trade and investment between India and the EU member countries since its establishment in 2007. A non-profit, privately funded, non-governmental organization, its aim is to nurture and promote bilateral business and a friendly relationship between India and Europe.

IEBF founder-chairman Vijay Goel, also said at the event that the association was set up in 2007 “to help promote India among the countries of the European Union and will continue that work, Brexit or no Brexit”.
