Manish Malhotra confirms period film ‘Shiddat’?

Confirmation about the project is still forthcoming but designer Manish Malhotra has said he’s working on the costumes of a period film which has a huge star cast.

Talking at Lakme Fashion Week 2017, Malhotra is quoted by Filmfare revealing, “I am working on a period film starring Varun and Alia, Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi, Aditya Roy Kapur, so that’s a big cast”.

The film Malhotra is referring is more than likely to be ‘Shiddat’, directed by Abhishek Varman. Malhotra added, “I am very excited to be starting this new period film for my favourite Alia, it is a period film of a period I feel close to —  it’s set during partition between 1945 to 1947”.

In the film, Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt will be reuniting after a gap of 25 years.
