It has been reported that a 32-year-old man accused of stalking Ekta Kapoor, has been arrested by Amboli Police.
According to DNA India, the accused known as Sudhir Rajendra Singh, a taxi driver from Haryana, apparently stalked Kapoor 30 times in recent months, because he wanted to get a job, as well as wanting to be friends with the TV producer. Kapoor did her best to ignore him, but Singh persisted and followed her around the city. A police officer said, “Few days back, when Ekta had gone to visit a temple in Juhu, Singh followed her there also and tried to approach her but was caught by her personal guards and he was warned to stay away from her.”
Police have also revealed that Singh even went as far as getting membership at the same gym Kapoor used in Andheri West. On Saturday evening Singh tried to sneak into they gym whilst Kapoor was working out inside, but her security guards managed to stop him.
A formal complaint was lodged against Singh on Monday, who was later arrested. “We have registered the complaint under section 354 (D) of the Indian Penal Code and with the help of CCTV and some technical evidences the accused was traced from Andheri West Veera Desai road. The case is under investigation,” shared the police officer.
