Mallika Sherawat attacked in Paris apartment

Weeks after the horrific attack on Kim Kardashian comes the news that Mallika Sherawat has also been attacked in her Paris apartment block. Reports suggest she was tear-gassed and beaten in the ordeal.

French newspaper Le Parisien refers to the attack, which happened last Friday, as shocking and one in which the attackers wore scarves to disguise themselves and sprayed tear gas and punched the victims – Sherawat and her boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans. The two were then left to call the emergency services themselves after the attackers ran away.

A spokesman for the police said, according to British tabloid the Daily Mail, “’A full investigation to find the assailants is underway”.

Detectives working on the recently launched investigation have said that they are working on the thought that it was an attempted robbery. The attacked is believed to have happened at the apartment in 16th arrondissement of Paris at around 9.30pm.

Sherawat and Auxenfans, a businessman, received minor injuries but no items were stolen during the attack.
