With the huge applause it received during its release earlier this year, news has it that production house Reliance has gained the rights to Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Malayam crime thriller ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ (2020) into a Hindi remake.
As announced by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, via Twitter who revealed, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Reliance Entertainment, Ashiq Usman Productions and AP International join hands for #Hindi remake of #Malayalam crime thriller #AnjaamPathiraa [released in 2020]… Midhun Manuel Thomas directed the #Malayalam film, which was a commercial and critical success.”
The film revolves around a dark and dangerous serial killer which stars Kunchacko Boban, Sharaf U Dheen, Unnimaya Prasad, Jinu Joseph and Sreenath Bhasi.
Confirming the news was Shibasish Sarkar, Group CEO, Reliance Entertainment who stated, “‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ is one of those slick thrillers that keep you on the edge of the seat! We are happy to remake the cult film for audiences across the country and the globe.”
Still in its early stages, details of the Hindi version are yet to be revealed.
