Pooja Hegde to be second leading lady in ‘Namastey Canada’?

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who are currently shooting for ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar,’ will begin work on their next movie — ‘Namastey Canada’ — once they wrap up Dibakar Banerjee’s thriller.

‘Namastey Canada’ is the second instalment in the hit franchise, ‘Namastey London’ (2007), which featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, reports DNA India.

There were also reports of another heroine joining the cast. Says a reliable source, “Yes, the film demands another actress.” But unlike Kapoor’s last movie ‘Mubarakan’ (2017), this one would not contain a love triangle. The source reveals, “The girl’s role is written in a way that though it doesn’t have much screen time, it will take the story ahead. She won’t be Arjun’s love interest.” Two stars — Disha Patani and Pooja Hegde — have already been approached for the role.

The source concluded, “While Disha refused the offer, Pooja is likely to be finalised, unless the makers get another heroine on board.”
