Makers already in talks for ‘PK’ sequel?

The film is looking extremely promising, with the fresh pairing of Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan, and despite the release yet to take place, the makers of ‘PK’ are already considering a second part to the film.

Talking to the media at a press conference for the movie, co-writer Abijat Joshi was asked weather a sequel to the film ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) is in the pipeline.��Hindustan Times reported Joshi explaining, “Honestly, I don�۪t know. We have an idea for the 3 Idiots sequel, a ‘Munna Bhai’ (2003) part three, and also for a ‘PK’ sequel; but the ‘PK’ and ‘Munna Bhai’ sequels interest me the most. So, I think the 3 Idiots sequel may happen in the future, but these two I really want to work on.”

One would think a sequel for a film that has not even released yet is a bit far fetched, but with franchise films becoming something of the norm in Hindi Cinema, it can also be said that this kind of thinking is only natural for film makers. Here’s hoping the film is as big of a hit as everyone hopes.
