When filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt received a phone-call from a director he wasn’t expecting it to bean offer to act in a film.
Sanjay Amar will be making his debut directorial with the film ‘Future To Bright Hai Ji’ andhe approached Bhatt to do a small cameo role in the film. However, according to Bollywood Hungama, due to the acclaimed filmmaker not knowing Amar, asked the aspiring director to come to his office firstand narrate the story. After reading through the script, Bhatt agreed to do the role.
“I have been a fan of Bhatt Sahab since my childhood & have seen all his films till date. It is an honor for me that he agreed to play an important cameo in my very first film. He is so generous and encouraging! I shall always be grateful to him,” Amar explained.
Bhatt isnot the first filmmaker to make an appearance in front of the camera. Subhash Ghai has beenknown to present himself on screen in someif not all of his films. Also, Karan Johar played a small part in the Yash Raj Films production ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995).
