Mahesh Bhatt to revive Sanjay Dutt’s ailing film career

Sanjay Dutt has faced a slew of failed film releases since being prosecuted for carrying arms in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. It now seems that Mahesh Bhatt will seek to revive Dutt’s movie career.

This won’t be the first time Bhatt will be bringing Dutt back to the top, having done the same back in 1986 with the release of ‘Naam’.

A source has disclosed to media portal Asian Age, “Mahesh was coaxed out of retirement from direction not because he wanted an opportunity to work with his daughter, Alia Bhatt, but because he felt obligated to put Sanjay Dutt back on his feet. Bhatt sahab’s logic was simple. If a biopic on Dutt (Raju Hirani’s Sanju) can evoke so much enthusiasm, what stops Dutt from reclaiming his earlier stardom?”.
