Mahesh Bhatt receives Alia Bhatt death threats

Mahesh Bhatt has opened up about extortion calls he has he received demanding Rs. 50 Lakhs from an unidentified person.

Furthermore, the death threats were made against the life of his daughter, Alia Bhatt, according to News18. The report adds that Mahesh has since prompted the senior crime branch officer in Mumbai to lodge an official complaint.

Taking to Twitter, Mahesh said, “A bolt from the blue in the form of an extortion call & threat to my family was nipped in the bud by the MH & UP police in tandem. Gratitude! All of us is better than one of us!!.”

News18 reports that the caller, who has been tracked in Uttar Pradesh, threatened Mahesh, “If he fails to pay the amount he will kill his daughter Alia.”
