Mahesh Bhatt gives approval to daughter’s boyfriend

Mahesh Bhatt does often come across as a somewhat protective father. However, news has it that he has given full approval to daughter Shaheen’s current boyfriend, comedian Rohan Joshi.

Mumbai Mirror report that Shaheen met Joshi at one of his gigs and things progressed from there. Says a source, “Shaheen even went on a holiday to London with Rohan recently. Alia and her mother, Soni Razdan, accompanied the couple. Rohan also gets along well with Shaheen’s dad Mahesh Bhatt, and shares a great equation with Alia. He’s part of the family now”.

Talking about him, Bhat himself said, “Rohan is an extremely bright guy and his humour is original. I wholeheartedly approve of him and we get along well. As for marriage, I don’t lay too much emphasis on the institution, so it is up to the two of them to decide how to take the relationship forward.”

Joshi and Shaheen have been dating for four years but they say that marriage doesn’t seem near as they are both focussed on their careers at the moment.
