Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is all set to unveil his Madame Tussauds Singapore wax figure on 25th March, but instead of holding the launch in Singapore, the statue will be flown in to debut in front of Babu’s fans in his hometown Hyderabad.
“I am quite excited for the honour and this is a moment to cherish. It took over four hours to get the measurements and other details. Like all my fans, I am also eagerly waiting to see my wax statue of Madame Tussauds”, Babu told Deccan Chronicle. The unveiling will be held at the superplex AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad, where the wax figure will on display for a day. The statue will be shipped to Singapore soon after.
Alex Ward, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Singapore said, “Mahesh Babu is a superstar and we are honoured to partner with him. To finally add a Tollywood star to our attraction is an important step. We receive many Indian tourists from all over the country and our goal is to represent the best of Indian cinema. ” Babu will be a part of the museum’s IIFA Awards Experience exhibit, which also features Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Prabhas and several other Indian film stars.
