Madras High Court issues notice to AR Rahman for tax invasion?

AR Rahman has been slapped with a notice from Madras High Court for income tax evasion.

Reports say that Rahman had evaded tax in an individual capacity by allegedly transferring Rs. 3.47 crore to hos charitable trust, according to Box Office Worldwide. It is said that the payment was for composing ringtones for a UK based company.

The report adds that discrepancies were found in Rahman’s tax filing for the period of 2011-2012.
