Sanjay Kapoor first appeared in a starring role alongside Madhuri Dixit-Nene in ‘Raja’ (1995), a box office success. Now, 25 years later, Kapoor will be reunited with Dixit-Nene for the new series, which has been tentatively titled ‘Actress’.
Kapoor has been secretive about his role in this new series. His only remarks were, according to Mid-Day, “I have been shooting in Nashik since October 25 and will wrap up my portion by the first week of December. The show has an interesting premise. The year 2020 has been upsetting, but I have always been a positive person and I am happy to be back on the set”.
The film shooting was interrupted due to the pandemic, but it resumed in October. Since then, the unit has created a bio-bubble for shooting in Nashik.
Kapoor commented on the unusual adaptations, “Shooting for this show has been a strange experience because everybody is in masks and PPE suits”.
He confirmed that the production team monitors temperature and oxygen levels daily, and that all were tested for covid-19 before the shooting began again.
Meanwhile, Kapoor’s production, ‘It’s my life’, will be premiered on Zee Cinema. He discussed his care about this production, “It was my first film as a producer, so it’s close to my heart.”
