Dharma Productions’ huge multi-starrer, ‘Shiddat’ is currently up in the air after the demise of Sridevi a couple of weeks ago.

While, there were reports that head-honcho, Karan Johar might scrap the film altogether, rumours are rife now that Madhuri Dixit could be roped in to replace Sridevi. The veteran actress was said to have had a pivotal role, in which she would have starred with Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

BollywoodLife reports that Dixit could come on board for ‘Shiddat’, which will see her reunite with Dutt. Her cracking chemistry in 90s blockbuster hits like ‘Saajan’, ‘Khal Nayak’ and ‘Thanedaar’ will be welcomed by fans.

An official announcement is expected from Dharma Productions.
