Madhuri Dixit perfect choice for Sridevi biopic?

There have been many times that Boney Kapoor has shown that he will not let his late wife Sridevi’s name be associated with projects without his official nod. However, there has also been talk that he will be putting his wife’s life story on celluloid. Arguably, it seems Madhuri Dixit-Nene could the only perfect choice for the role.

“Really, if you look at the choices available to Boney, there is only Madhuri Dixit-Nene who has the stature, grace, range and dancing abilities to play Sridevi. Also, Boney and his brother Anil have always been very closely associated with Madhuri ever since she worked with Anil in iconic films like Beta and Tezaab. Madhuri seems like the feasible fit to play Sridevi,” said a source close to Kapoor, according to Asian Age.

A friend of the Kapoor’s also adds, “Sridevi would have never wanted a biopic to be made. And even if she had, she would have wanted her daughter Janhvi to play Sridevi. But Janhvi is too raw and too close to the tragic death of her mother to play her”.

Dixit-Nene was pit against Sridevi for so many years. It remains to be seen whether she is approached and also if she decides to take on the role.
