Madhuri Dixit opens up about working with Priyanka Chopra

Madhuri Dixit-Nene has spoken about working with Priyanka Chopra, who will turn producer for an ABC sitcom.

The show in question is currently in its pre-production stages, it is said to be about Madhuri’s life in America when she settled down with husband Dr Sriram Nene.

Talking about working with Chopra, Madhuri was cited in Mid-Day saying, “I am going to narrate my experiences in the US, which will help in the creation of select episodes. The sitcom is inspired by my life, but it’s not entirely about me. My time in America was barely influenced by the recognition I had in India. The show highlights that too.”

She added, “I am going to narrate my experiences in the US, which will help in the creation of select episodes. The sitcom is inspired by my life, but it’s not entirely about me. My time in America was barely influenced by the recognition I had in India. The show highlights that too.”

Elaborating further on the project, Madhuri stated, “The project was conceived by us [husband Nene and Dixit] along with writer Sri Rao. Once we were sure about the idea, we approached Gordon’s production company [Entertainment One] to take it forward. They loved the idea. They suggested we get Priyanka on board. We thought it was a great idea because she knows our industry and how the system works in the West too.”
