With Sanjay Dutt’s much awaited biopic being the talk of the town, there were some reports that Madhuri Dixit did not want any reference of her in the film.

Talking about this for the first time, Dixit was cited in Mid-Day saying, “For where I am today, this [the topic of Dutt] has become redundant. Life has come a long way since then. I don’t know where these reports are coming from. In any case, it doesn’t make a difference to me.”

There have been reports that Sonam Kapoor’s character in the film will be an amalgamation of Dutt’s love interests in the early ’90s.

Dixit, who spoke at the launch of her show Videocon D2h Dance With Madhuri, added, “I want to reach out to as many people as possible so that we can discover more talent. But the entrepreneur never takes over the artiste in me. I can compartmentalise well, switching between roles.”

Let’s hope to see Dixit back on the big screen soon.
