Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Calendar Girls’ revealed

After months of keeping the film’s cast underwraps, Madhur Bhandarkar has finally revealed some of the names that will lead the cast of his upcoming release ‘Calendar Girls’.

Kyra Dutt, who has become the first actress to sign Ekta Kapoor’s nudity clause for ‘XXX’ will be one of the girls in Bhandarkar’s ‘Calendar Girls’. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Dutt said, “The film follows the journey of five struggling models and will be played by Akanksha Puri, Ruhi Singh, Avni Modi and Satarupa Pyne, who too like me are models. We are five girls chasing the common dream of becoming a supermodel. And we represent different parts of the country, both on screen and off-screen.”

Talking about being a part of Bhandarkar’s next women-skewed film after ‘Heroine’, she said, “This too is a women oriented film and we don’t really have a male lead but we have a character modelled on liquor baron Vijay Mallya.”
