Low-key birthday celebrations for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her 44th birthday on Wednesday and while many would have thought the event would have been a grand affair, it was actually not.

Pune Mirror reports that the actress celebrated with her family on Tuesday evening, followed by a mandir visit with her mother and daughter. Her in-laws including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan were also present. The report adds that Amitabh had also written a special letter for his daughter-in-law. This year, Aishwarya opted for low-key celebrations following the death of her father earlier in the year.

Aishwarya is expected to begin shooting for her next ‘Fanney Khan’ later this month. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
