With up to four shows facing the axe on Star Plus later this month, BizAsiaLive.com understands that ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’ may avoid getting the chop.

It was revealed earlier that Star Plus’ afternoon slot Star Plus Dopahar will be phased out. The four shows, which include ‘Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka’, ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’, ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’ and ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’ will broadcast their final episodes on 30th September, just six months after they were launched with much fanfare.

It now seems, the channel is feeling the pressure from fans on social media to retain ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’, which was one of the newest shows to be added to the Star Plus Dopahar band. The channel is expected to take a final call on the show later this week. One of the stars associated with the show was “unsure” about the developments but was expected to get clarity soon.

With social media playing a huge part in the future of television shows, ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’ could remain on-air owing to its huge fan base online. Earlier, Sony Entertainment Television was forced to bring back ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ after uproar from fans when it was abruptly ended last month.
