Lopamudra Raut to make acting debut with ‘Blood Story’

After her successful stint in ‘Bigg Boss 10’, it comes as no surprise that Lopamudra Raut has already bagged her first film role. Starring in South director Hemant Hegde’s ‘Blood Story’.

“After watching me in Bigg Boss, Hemanth liked me and therefore called me to meet him. He was earlier casting me in a Kananda film. But somehow he then decided to go with this Hindi Script. The suspense ,thrill ,emotions and drama in the story line is intriguing hence director Hemant asked me if I would debut with this Hindi venture. I was really on the seventh heaven,” Deccan Chronicle reports Raut explaining.

She went on to say, “As all of us know Hindi films have a humongous reach all over the globe. I had no reasons to say no.Also I am open to work in any regional film too if the script is good .Be it then Telugu, Tamil Marathi or Punjabi films I will like to work in it.”

Talking of Hegde, Raut expressed, “His films have been block buster films down South. After admiring my exposure in the Big Boss he had decided to cast me. It’s a compliment to me when he finds my acting capabilities’ matching his character on reel. As an actor what more do I want?”

“Director Hemanth knows his job well. He has a few films to his credit. His few films have been remade by the Hindi film industry too,” she added

Still in its early stages, news has it that the filmmaker is still on the hunt for the male lead.
