Lisa Haydon says feminist statement was “misconstrued”

Lisa Haydon

Lisa Haydon made a statement recently about feminism which invited backlash. The model-turned-actress has now opened up about the comment and said she believes is was taken wrongly.

“I casually stated something without thinking. I don۪t think it was a well-rounded answer, and in some ways, it was misconstrued,” she said to Hindustan Times.

Haydon saw much success in the film ‘Queen’ (2014) but when asked whether her “sexy” image might stop more serious roles coming her way, she replies, “I really hope not. I don۪t look like this (glamorous) when I wake up or when I۪m at home. Going to work is also role playing; you۪re ultimately playing a character. And within that character, it is important to play many other characters if you are an actor”.

Haydon was last seen in ‘Housefull 3’ which was her first time in the franchise.
