Lisa Aziz to leave LBC News after six years as breakfast host

Lisa Aziz has announced her departure from LBC News Breakfast after six years, marking the end of her 13-year tenure at LBC and Global.

In a post on social media website X, Aziz expressed pride in being part of LBC News’ growth, highlighting the station’s audience reaching 974,000 weekly listeners. She also shared her decision to step away from early morning broadcasting, noting that it was “time to switch the 03:30 alarm off.”

Aziz has had a distinguished career in journalism and broadcasting. She was one of the first Asian presenters on mainstream British television, co-anchoring ITV News West Country and Sky News before joining LBC. Over the years, she has won several awards, including a Royal Television Society Award, and has been widely recognised for her contributions to news broadcasting.

Her final show will air on Friday 4th April.
