Legendary actor Dev Anand passes away in London

Legendary actor & film producer Dev Anand has passed away in London following a cardiac arrest.

The actor recently released his home production ‘Charge Sheet’, which failed at the box office. He made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Hum Ek Hain’ in 1946. He is renowned for roles in classics such as ‘Guide’, ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, ‘Paying Guest’, ‘Jewel Thief’, ‘Des Pardes’, ‘CID’ and ‘Johny Mera Naam’ amongst many others.

Dev Anand was 88 and had been unwell for several days. His son Sunil was with him at the time of his demise.

Amitabh Bachchan was quick to tweet about his colleague and friend’s death. He said, “Had just met Dev Saheb at his premiere recently .. he was weak but full of spirit ..the news papers confirming his passing away…sad”.
