Legal notice slapped on Madhuri Dixit for endorsing Maggi

Madhuri Dixit has been sent a legal notice by Haridwar Food and Drug Administration for endorsing food product, Maggi.

Recently, Maggi came under the scanner after samples collected by Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration were reported to have Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and lead more than the permissible limit. Maggi’s company Nestle was asked to withdraw a batch from the market in Uttar Pradesh.

The notice is seeking a response from Dixit on claims made in the television commercial, including how Maggi is good for health and the nutrition value of the product.

Dixit has been given 15 days to respond to the notice. The case could be registered if the actress fails to respond.
