Grand opening for Ria Money Transfer store in Birmingham

Ria Money Transfer has widened its UK footprint by opening up its second largest store outside London, in Birmingham.

On Friday, Ria Money Transfer swung open its doors in the heart of the Asian community of Soho Road, Handsworth, Birmingham. As well as music by DJ Raj, there were performances by UK music sensation, Kadam Verma and dancers, Dhamak Punjabna Di. The leading global money transfer brand also gave away free freshly made jalebis to all that walked into the new store. There was also a mehndi designer on site, which saw women queuing up as a part of the celebration.

Ria Money Transfer – Birmingham launch
Keeping close to its brand ethos of serving the community, Ria Money Transfer donated langar at the Guru Ravidass Gurdwara on Union Row, in Handsworth. Ria Money Transfer promoters were seen serving langar and doing seva as a part of the rituals. The Gurdwara held an ardaas for the opening and gave a siropa to the team of Ria Money Transfer.

In line with its community spirit, Ria Money Transfer also held free health checks by a medical rep, who checked customers blood pressure and sugar levels.

Yeshee Tengur, Head of Marketing UK/Europe at Ria Money Transfer said, “It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of Ria Money Transfer on Soho Road in Birmingham. The community will now have easier access to transfer money around the world with a reputable global brand. The launch was a huge success, with a fantastic turn out and a party for all to enjoy.”

Ria Money Transfer had pulled out all the stops to ensure the launch goes smoothly, backed by a heavy campaign on Raaj FM, a billboard campaign and mobile outdoor advertising in the area. The event was managed by Missy B Events, along with BizAsiaLive.com.
