Lata Mangeshkar’s spokesperson: “Please do not heed to needless rumours”

Since Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to hospital earlier this week, rumours about her health have been doing the rounds. There was also confusion about whether she had been discharged from hospital or still getting treatment in hospital.

Shutting down the rumours once and for all, a spokesperson for Mangeshkar said, “Lata didi is stable and getting better. Request to please do not heed to needless rumours and react. Let us all collectively pray for her long life instead.”

The 90 year old veteran singer was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital after she complained of breathing difficulties in the early hours of Monday.
