Last rites of Irrfan Khan performed in Versova

Irrfan Khan took his last breath this morning, in Mumbai. The actor’s funeral has taken place too, BizAsiaLive.com can confirm.

Khan, who had a colon infection, passed away at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. A spokesperson said, “Irrfan was buried at the Versova Karastan in Mumbai at 3pm this afternoon soon after the news of his passing away was announced. In presence were his family, close relatives, and friends. Everyone paid their final respects and mourned the loss of his passing away. We pray for his peace and we hope he’s in a better place today. He was strong in his fight, and we all have to be strong too in this loss.”

Unforunately, due to the olockdown measures currently in place in India, only some well-known names were able to attend the funeral. The actor has passed away at such a time where not many will be able to pay respects in the way they would usually.
