Lara Dutta on turning judge for ‘High Fever…. Dance Ka Naya Tevar’

Lara Dutta is making her television debut this weekend as &TV’s ‘High Fever… Dance Ka Naya Tevar’ begins. The actress has said that the show will change mindsets.

“The fact is that in our country, there are many relationships in the family that maintain a certain distance all their life. Our society works that way. And I think to an extent the mainstream Indian television played it to the gallery. Therefore, there has always been a certain distance between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, or a relationship between brother-in-law and sister-in-law. In our show, we are breaking the stereotypical equation of such relationships,” said the actress, according to Hindustan Times.

“Here, a brother-in-law is coming with his sister-in-law and saying what a friendly bond they share, through their dancing. This will create a huge impact among many people out there in the audience to come out and celebrate family bonds. This show will bring a new perspective to the traditional mindset of family relations,” she added.

Dutta now join the likes of Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta as a judge on a dance show’s judging panel.
