Lara Dutta to replace Nimrat Kaur in ‘Azhar’?

It was said that Nimrat Kaur would feature as a lawyer in Ekta Kapoor produced ‘Azhar’, a biopic on on the life of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. However, Kaur walked out of the project and now it’s emerged that it might be none other than ex Miss Universe Lara Dutta filling her shoes in the film.

Director Anthony D’Souza shares a good rapport with Dutta as they worked together in ‘Blue’ (2009). The actress will already be seen back on the screens in the forthcoming ‘Singh is Bling’ and ‘Fitoor’. She has heard a narration of ‘Azhar’ but makers are still keeping their options open.

‘Azhar’ will see Emraan Hashmi in the male lead role with Prachi Desai playing his first wife.
