Lara Dutta proud of Priyanka Chopra

They have been each other’s competition even before entering the world of Bollywood, so one would think that Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta wouldn’t have much of a relationship. However according to reports this is quite the contrary.

The first sign of their good relation was when Dutta expressed how she would like to cast Chopra in one of her productions. Times of India reported Dutta going on the say, “We started together … and I feel so proud when I see Priyanka doing so well.”

Both actresses entered the Miss World competition in 2000 as Miss India, where Dutta won Miss Universe and Chopra bagged Miss World, as well as debuting together in ‘Andaaz’��(2003), and a receiving a joint win for a Filmfare award for best debut.��

The major sign of affection came during Chopra’s fathers prayer meet, where Dutta broke down after hugging and expressing her condolences to Chopra, showing she was more closer to the actress and her family than people think. It just goes to show, despite what speculations maybe, it’s an inspiring example of great relations between contemporaries.
