ZEE TV will be launching its new show ‘Lajwanti’ in the weekday 22:30 slot from later this month, which will result in the axe falling on ‘Doli Armaanon Ki’.

The new periodic drama is based on the short story is written by the late writer Rajinder Singh Bedi.

The show was launched in India today. Ila Bedi, who produced the show said, Today is a very auspicious day for the Bedi family. The story of the show is a little serious but it۪s a love story. We have converted his short story into a series. Though Lajwanti۪ is based in 1947, the way we have written it is very contemporary in its tone,۝ she added.

ω۪Lajwanti۪ is a very powerful and ageless story. The core story of the show is relatable. Therefore, it will be resonating when it will go on air. It۪s set in a very unique environment. The show will be a tribute to Rajinder Singh Bedi,۝ Zee TV business head Pradeep Hejmadi told IANS.
