‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ release to be postponed?

When the release date of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was announced as 14th April, it was all set for a box office showdown with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ which is due to release on the same day. Buzz now suggests that makers of the former are looking at a possible shift in release date.

Box Office Worldwide reports that makers are considering a new release date because they would rather avert the clash posed by ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ which will already have a steady fanbase because the first film did well. Another reason is that there’s still work to be done for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and this may not be complete by the date in April.

It could well be that the film now releases near to Diwali this year, making sure there’s no overlap with ‘Pathan’ which is touted as the Diwali release.
