Kunal Pandit to ring in birthday in Jodhpur this year

Kunal Pandit has big plans for his birthday (28th November) this year. The actor happens to be travelling today and will be joined by his best friends the day. “On my birthday this year, I am going to Jodhpur as it’s one of my best friend’s wedding on the 29th and 30th. All my friends from Dubai are coming there and joining me. I will be celebrating my birthday with all my best friends there,” he says.

The actor has recently changed his name back to Kunal from Shardul, and says that this is the gift he wants to give himself this year. “As a gift to myself, I want to completely accept myself. Going back to my original name, that is my biggest birthday gift to myself as I’m going back to my roots and to who I was and how I was born,” he says.

Birthdays have always been special for the actor. “A lot of birthdays have been memorable. I can’t really select any specific birthday. Every birthday that you get to spend with your near and dear ones is memorable. The ones that I have spent with my sister and my nephew or this one which I’m going to be spending with my best friends will be special. So, every birthday which you spend around your favourite people is memorable,” he says.

While others may flinch at the thought of growing older, Pandit isn’t one of them. “Age is actually just a number because you’re as old as you think. Sometimes we see there are people who look so young who are not that young and some people look very old but they’re very young. So, I completely believe that age is just a number. It’s about what you feel inside, your body reflects that age,” he says.

He adds, “I am forever 18 because that’s the age that you kind of are from your adolescence to your adulthood. I’m still mentally at that age. In fact, I’m surrounded by people who are called millennials and I always want to stay young in my mind. I want to be always learning and improving myself.”
