Although the movie’s official release was six year’s ago, KunalKohli’s ‘Fanaa’, starring Aamir Khan and Kajol, saw release in Brazil just this weekend. The move is being seen as the growing of ties between Brazil and India.

Deccan Chronicle reports Kohli commenting on the news, which came as a surprise to him, “It۪s news to me and quite a fascinating one at that. It۪s quite humbling to see a film of mine travel across the world after six years. More than anything else, this is good news for Indian cinema. I hope the film makes an impact there and opens more doors for the industry”.

A source also revealed that the film is seeing release in the mainstream minus a film festival or delegation. This makes it a big deal for the country and its relationship the Indian film industry. Let’s hope Khan’s reel avatar does well in furthering the relationship between the two countries.
