Kunal Kapoor to turn to direction?

Kunal Kapoor seems to want to go all the way in the filmmaking business. The actor has not only turned to writing with ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’, but news also has it that he will also soon be adding ‘director’ to his CV.

Kapoor’s inspiration for direction may come from when he was assisting Rakesh Omprakash Mehra in ‘Aks’ (2001). However, Kapoor made it clear that his focus at the moment is on short films. “I would like to direct a short film in the near future. I find short films very interesting. So, yes, short film is something that I would love to do. But not the whole feature film right now,” NDTV reported the actor stating. He��went on to say how he tended to come up with many ideas for short films that always have room for development.

Talking of the type of film he wants to go for, Kapoor explains “Obviously commercial success matters a lot to me. There is no two ways about it. I think as an actor, the most important thing is that your film should reach out to as many people as possible.”
