Kunal Kapoor to play warrior in trilingual adaptation of ‘Macbeth’

Hot hunk Kunal Kapoor who has been seen in ‘Aaja Nachle’ (2007) and in ‘Kaun Kitne Paani Mein’ (2015), is set to play as a warrior in director Malayalam Jayaraj’s trilingual adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Kapoor says, “It’s an interesting story about bravery, lust, greed and power. It is centred on this warrior who prophesises that he will be king one day. It’s every actor’s dream to play Macbeth and I had wanted to do an action film for a long time so when I was offered this one, I immediately jumped on board.”

He further added, “I have been training with a Kalaripayattu expert from Kerala since the last three months. I had a great time learning it.”

Jayaraj’s Shakespearean adaptation titled ‘Veeram’ will be filmed in Hindi, English, and Malayalam and will start its shooting this week. Kapoor states that the film is universal that will reach to a wide audience.
