Krushna Abhishek unclear about Kapil Sharma’s statement on Navjot Singh Sidhu

Social media users were up in arms after Navjot Singh Sidhu made some controversial comments after the attack in Pulwama where 40 CRPF personnel were killed. There was news that the Punjab minister would be replaced on the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ however host Kapil Sharma stated that it was not the right thing to do, provoking more anger. Now their co-host Krushna Abhishek has spoken out stating things are still unclear.

According to DNA India, Sidhu is being replaced with Archana Puran Singh. Talking about this, Abhishek was reported explaining, “Mujhe nahi pata kya chal raha hai lekin filhaal desh mein mahaul theek nahi hai. Sab shok mein hain. Halaaki Archana Puran Singh ke saath hum shoot kar chuke hain lekin Archana ne kisi media ko kaha hai ki abhi tak unhone puri tarah contract sign nahin kiya hai. Lekin phir bhi mein channel se baat karke hi kuch comment kar sakta hun. (I don’t know what’s going on but currently the country’s atmosphere is not right. Everyone is mourning. We have already shot a few episodes with Archana Puran Singh. But, Archana has told some media house that she hasn’t yet signed the full contract. I would only be able to comment after having a word with the channel.)”

Talking of Sharma’s comments on social media, Abhishek expressed that he is unaware of what actually happened. “Kapil ne kya bola mujhe nahin pata usne kya bayaan diya. Mujhe Kapil ke Twitter boycott ke bhi jankaari nahi hai. (I don’t know what statement has Kapil given. I even don’t have any knowledge about Kapil’s boycott from Twitter.”

The attack has caused much alarm to the country, where a ban on Pakistani artists has been placed. It’s a decision that many seem to be in agreement with.
