‘Krrish 4’ to make way for SRK’s ‘Bandhua’?

'Krrish 3' crosses 200 crores in seven days

When Rakesh Roshan announced that ‘Krrish 4’ was on the way at Christmas 2018, there was to be a definite clash between this film and Shah Rukh Khan’s film with Aanand L Rai – apparently titled ‘Bandhua’. Now it appears that Roshan has had a rethink.

Talking to Bombay Times, Roshan said, “It is unethical for me to release my film on this date as Shah Rukh has already announced his movie”.

Roshan continued, “I don’t know what they will eventually decide. We’re here to make films, not create controversies. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he’s like a younger brother to me. I gave him a break in ‘King Uncle’, and then worked with him in ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Koyla’.”

It seems, however, that Roshan is not prepared to move ‘Kaabil’ which is set to clash with ‘Raees’ in January 2017, “I had announced the date for ‘Kaabil’ earlier. If they are coming on the same date, then I can’t do anything about it”.

Box office clashes are definitely something the industry always faces but it remains to be seen whether two big films will eventually be released on the same day come January.
