Kritika Kamra & Taapsee Pannu lose out on ‘Dangal’?

A while ago, actress Taapsee Pannu had gone on record to say she had not been approached to play the role of Aamir Khan’s daughter in ‘Dangal’. ��However, recent rumours suggest that Pannu and television star, Kritika Kamra, had both auditioned for the role but were not selected.

Speaking to��Mid Day,��a source revealed, “Over 15,000 girls were auditioned in Haryana, including Taapsee and television actress Kritika Kamra. But the production team selected a local athlete.”

Director Nitesh Tiwari has allegedly dismissed the news of an athlete being signed, calling it all speculation. ��However, an official announcement is expected soon.

Over the past year, Kamra seems to be attempting a shift from the small screen to big screen but currently to no avail. ��She is presently seen in��Sony TV’s ‘Reporters’. ��On the other hand, Pannu is shooting for Shootjit Sircar’s ‘Agra Ka Daabra’.

Based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, ‘Dangal’ is expected to go on floors from September this year and slated to release for Christmas 2016.
