Kriti Sanon & Rajkummar Rao to adopt parents in their next family drama

Superstar duo Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao are collaborating for a special project. The pair will play a couple who adopts an older couple, played by Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Sanon described the film as a “great slice-of-life family drama with a nice message,” in an interview with the media. This untitled film, directed by Abhishek Jain, was due to release in theatres in March 2020. But due to the pandemic, the crew began filming months later, reports Box Office Worldwide. Then in October last year, Sanon and Rao reunited in Chandigarh to shoot the film.

Once this is completed, Sanon is expected to reunite with Tiger Shroff for the film ‘Ganapath’. The duo made their Bollywood debut in ‘Heropanti’ (2014) together.

Speaking about ‘Ganapath,’ she had previously said, “I have always wanted to do an action film, and who better to do it with than Tiger? For this film, I will have to get the hang of riding a dirt bike. Also, action as a genre is new for me, so I will be spending a lot of time prepping up when it comes to technicalities and stunts. I’ve wanted to do the kind of roles Uma Thurman has done. I always felt like I could make better use of my height and long legs, and here I am getting a chance to do that.”

Sanon will also star alongside Akshay Kumar in ‘Bachchan Pandey’, as well as alongside Varun Dhawan in the horror comedy, ‘Bhediya’.
