Kriti Sanon on whether ‘Mimi’ will release on digital or in cinema

Before the pandemic hit the world last year, Kriti Sanon had just wrapped up shooting for ‘Mimi.’ It is a small budget film with in which she plays a surrogate mother. The film has been awaiting a release for quite some time now.

And while the makers wanted a theatrical release, talks have been ongoing that ‘Mimi’ might take the digital route instead, reports Filmfare. Sanon replied by saying, “Of course, they are great platforms, and everyone is hooked on to it, they have got great content. As an actor you want it to reach the masses, even the ones who don’t really go on these platforms.”

The star added that ‘Mimi’ is a great film and would love to entertain the masses in theatres with it’s content, but right now it looks difficult. However, it seems a final decision is yet to be made on the release.

Meanwhile the star has a busy schedule ahead of her. She is currently shooting for ‘Adipurush.’ This is Om Raut’s take on The Ramayana, starring Prabhas as Lord Ram and Sanon as Sita. The star will also reunite with Varun Dhawan in ‘Bhediya’ and also has ‘Ganpath’ with Tiger Shroff lined up.
