Kriti Sanon forbidden to talk about ‘Sultan’?

Kriti Sanon

BizAsia reported not long ago that Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ is yet to have a leading lady finalised. Kriti Sanon’s name was one of the first to be associated to the film and now, it seems she is a firm favourite but she is not allowed to talk about the film.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Reports on websites have gone from ‘Kriti Opposite Salman in Sultan’ to ‘Kriti Not Offered Sultan’. The truth is, she is a top-ranker in the reckoning for the role. However she has been instructed to not speak about it at all. Hence when asked the diplomatic non-controversial girl says no about the role.”

Sanon, however, seems pretty laid back about the success she has achieved, despite the fact that she will be sharing the screen with none other than Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dilwale’, “I won’t say it was easy or quick. Heropanti was released more than a year ago. To my good fortune I got gradual but certain approval from the film industry. Normally when a new girl comes into the film industry she is spoken about for her glamour quotient. But the critics spoke about my performance in Heropanti. That reassured me I was doing the right thing.”

‘Sultan’ is a Yash Raj Films production and will release at Eid 2016.
