Kriti Sanon confirmed to play Sita in ‘Adipurush’?

BizAsiaLive.com reported a little while ago that Kriti Sanon was a possible contender to play the female lead in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’. This has now been confirmed and Sanon has secured the role.

Cited on Box Office Worldwide, a source shared the news that Sanon will play Sita, “After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity.”

The source added, “Playing Sita is an opportunity of a lifetime for her, and she immediately came on board. She will be juggling multiple films in the first quarter of 2021.”

‘Adipurush’ is set to be a 3D action-drama that revolves around the triumph of good over evil. Featuring Prabhas, playing the character of Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan will be portraying Raavana and Ajay Devgn as Lord Shiva.

The film is slated to go on floors in January 2021 and will be mostly shot in a studio in front of a chroma screen. The team are bringing onboard a range of VFX experts to help with the making of the film. “Om and Bhushan have been talking to VFX technicians of international repute, who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars, to make the shooting process smooth and mount the film on a certain scale,” said the source.
