Konkona Sen Sharma plays pregnant cop in ‘Akira’

Critically acclaimed actress Konkona Sen Sharma has wowed the audiences with her versatile performances over the years. Her most recent performance in ‘Talvar’ (2015)��has also won her accolades from the audience.��Sharma will next be seen in Sonakshi Sinha’s action film, ‘Akira’, where she will play a pregnant police officer.

Sharma is quite happy with her powerful role in ‘Akira’. To Absolute India, she said, “I like my role in ‘Akira’, which is a remake of a south Indian film. I play the role of a pregnant cop as is the original. So, since it’s the role of a pregnant cop, luckily I didn’t have to do any stunts. It’s a nice and powerful role of a strong woman.” Sharma also added that she “has finished shooting for it.”

She��will next be seen playing the title role in��Jaydeep Sarkar’s��short film, ‘Nayantara’s Necklace’.
