KJo wants Aamir Khan opposite Deepika Padukone in ‘Shuddhi’?

A few days ago, it had been a confirmation more or less that Ranveer Singh was going to be signed for ‘Shuddhi’, Karan Johar’s next. However, in a turn for the books, reports suggest that Johar wants to cast Aamir Khan in the male lead role.

According to Filmfare, Johar is keen on having Khan opposite Deepika Padukone in the film which was originally meant to star Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Johar apparently feels that this will be a good fresh pairing to hit the screens with the film and that Khan’s very obvious fan following will bring a new dimension to the film.

Whether this is a rumour or not, only one man can say. No doubt there are many who are awaiting an official announcement from Johar.
