KJo signs Kareena opposite Hrithik in ‘Shuddhi’?

It was a choice between the new and the familiar and familiarity won. BizAsia has learnt that Karan Johar has signed Kareena Kapoor to play Sati��in ‘Shuddhi’ which will have Hrithik Roshan as lead.

Johar was the first to discover this jodi as in 2001 when he brought them together in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. News has it that the filmmaker is totally psyched at having them grace the screens together once again and that too in his home production, to be directed by ‘Agneepath’ (2012) director Karan Malhotra. Roshan and Kapoor will seen together for the first time since 2002’s ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’.

Earlier it was reported that Kapoor was head-to-head with Deepika Padukone for the role but it seems the Hrithik-Deepika jodi will have to wait for another project. Keep checking BizAsia for more on this story.
