KJo receives special invite to London Olympics

As the London Olympics are fast approaching, many people are anticipating the many VIP guests attending the opening ceremony. One of these very important people will be Karan Johar.

Times of India��reports, Johar is currently the ambassador for Visit Britain and for this reason has received a special invitation��from the campaigns authorities. Talking to reporters,��he expressed his gratitude��for the kind gesture, “I’m truly humbled and excited.��Had you asked me a few days ago if I intended to go to London�ʉ�� it’s virtually my second home ��� during the Olympics, I’d have said, ‘No chance’… Life has been very hectic. When this invitation came through, I jumped at the opportunity.��After all, it’s a very prestigious event.”

Johar is currently shooting for his upcoming venture ‘Student of the Year’ which will have a number of new faces making their debut. Despite having so much going on, Johar expresses how important it will be to him to be a part of the event, “…going to stay with me for a lifetime. It is London’s big-ticket weekend and I’m not about to miss it for anything in the world.”

The only other person in India to be invited to the event is Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who received an invitation from Prime Minister David Cameron.
